When purchasing a glass splashback, it’s essential to take the correct measurements to ensure a perfect fit.
If you require us to fit your splashback, we will come out to your property to take measurements prior to production. However, we do require some basic measurements in order to give you a quote. For supply only, we need accurate measurements to process the order.
Splashbacks are a diverse and modern feature in the home. Commonly found in the kitchen, they are essentially one large glass tile that works to protect the wall behind the glass surface.
With a range of colours, patterns and finishes to choose from, your splashback will not only provide a practical function but will complement the rest of your room beautifully; matching your current interior design.

Once you’ve chosen the splashback you’d like, you just need to take a few measurements which will enable us to supply the exact size and shape you need.
If you require supply only, these will be the measurements we refer to when cutting the glass.
If you are having a supply and fitting service from us, then we will send out one of our glaziers to take secondary measurements, once the job has been agreed – just to make sure we have 100% accurate measurements to work with!
What you need
All you need is a measuring tape, and something to note your measurements on. Either your phone or a notepad.
How to Measure
1. Measure the length of your worktop wall
Draw a horizontal line that is in the middle of the wall space, between your worktop and your wall cabinets. This needs to cover the full length of your kitchen worktop.
2. Measure the height between your worktop and cupboards
Next, measure the vertical lines between your worktop surface, and the bottom of your cupboard, to make sure the lines are all equal. If you have an area with a cooker hood, or a gap between your cupboards, you will need to measure the length and height of the gap, and where along the wall this gap is.
3. Note your sockets and switches
Add up the total number of sockets, light switches and any other switches along the wall, that the splashback area will cover.
4. Measure sockets, lights and switches
First, take dimensions to the centre of the sockets, so you can pin point exactly where they are. Second, take measurements of all your sockets’ height and length.
Tip: you may have a plastic covering around your socket or light switch, like a frame that has been added around the socket, to make it look nice. You can remove theses if you want your splashback to be flush with your switches, just ensure to measure when you have taken the coverings off.
