As a founding member of the Glass and Glazing Federation, we have built a strong reputation within the industry since we were first founded in 1966.

Where it all began
2016 marked a very special milestone for us here at Stevenage Glass, as we celebrated our 50th anniversary!
As the original glass manufacturers in Stevenage, starting back in 1966, it has been a rollercoaster ride, with 50 years’ of dedication, hard work, good times and many successes to be proud of along the way.
To signify this incredible achievement, we’re looking back over the past five decades at some of our most memorable and poignant moments that have brought us to where we are today. May there be many more years to come!
Stevenage Glass is co-founded by Mr C.D.King, Mr D.Williams and Mr A Dobson - by 1970 there was only Mr King who remained.
GGF: We become a member of the Glazing and Glass Federation (GGF) and are one of their earliest members to join.
Expanded Premises: After outgrowing our old premises in Argyle Way, we extend and build our factory on Cavendish Road.
Our first extension takes place at Cavendish Road. We also purchase our first ever bevelling machine.
Double Glazed Units: We start making sealed double glazed units for the first time.
Crane Introduction: We install an overhead crane to help with larger deliveries of sheets of glass.
More Extensions: Our second extension is finished at Cavendish Road.
BS Kite Mark We achieve BS Kite Mark for our sealed units since superseded with a European standard.
Toughened Glass Make a large investment in a toughened glass machine. We also achieved a European standard for our toughened process.
Showroom: From framed mirrors to prints, glassware, gifts, bespoke shower doors, screens and balustrades, our showroom has improved drastically throughout the years and now displays a diverse range of products.
ISO 9001: 2008 We achieve ISO 9001: 2008 standard for quality systems certificate for our procedures.
We celebrate our 50th anniversary! - Our vans have just been updated with our brand new logo. - We have recently invested in straight line edgers for the processing department. - Our team has expanded to 33 people. - We have worked with various local councils over the past few years, including Stevenage Borough Council, North Hertfordshire District Council and Welwyn Hatfield Borough
Here as Stevenage Glass we have hit another milestone celebrating our 60th Year Anniversary. Still keeping our principals as a family business we proudly serve the Hertfordshire and surrounding regions with new updated machinery and processing techniques delivering a second to none service
